On February 19, 2016, President Benigno S. Aquino III, signed Executive Order 201, with the long title “Modifying the Salary Schedule for Civilian Government Personnel and Authorizing the Grant of Additional Benifits for Both Civilian and Military and Uniformed Personnel.”

For some teachers, E.O. 201’s effect wouldn’t be felt by many as they find it a little too low to be considered as an increase to their monthly salary. Another note to ponder is that the said increase is still questionable for tax deductions.
But before we talk about the cons of E.O. 201, let’s get to know the benefits we can expect as stated in the said Order.
- Mid-year Bonus – This is equivalent to a one (1) month salary to be given not earlier than May 15.
- Enhanced Performance-Based Bonus (PBB) equivalent to one (1) up to two (2) months basic salary, to be implemented in 2 phases starting FY 2017.
- Year-end Bonus – The existing 13th month pay which is also equivalent to one (1) month salary and cash gift (P5,000), now will be given every November.
- Productivity Enhancement Incentive (PEI) – P5,000 to be given not earlier than December 15.

hindi po pa makakatanggap ng mid year ang tulad ko na nag substitute lang mula december hangang ened of school year? last day of service ko po ay April 1.

hi. ung misis ko deped teacher 1. june lng cya na hire as public school teacher. nag bigayan na ng 14th month pay for 2016 ung na recieve nya is 2,000 pesos flat. san kaya nakuha ung computation na un? please enlighten me bago ako mag take actions. im quite sure may malalagot. nhihiya lang ang misis ko pero ako hindi kasi kapos talaga sa buhay.
